SEROLOGIC AND FECAL MARKERS TO PREDICT RESPONSE TO INDUCTION THERAPY IN DOGS WITH IDIOPATHIC INFLAMMATORY BOWEL DISEASE

Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) in dogs is a relapsing inflammatory disorder of the GI that is immunologically mediated. Current treatment strategies aim at reducing and eliminating intestinal inflammation. Results showed a positive correlation between fecal cCP concentrations and Canine IBD activity index (CIBDAI) scores, that improved with treatment. No significant associations was noted with serum biomarkers.
